Our commitment

Office Edit is committed to preventing slavery, servitude, forced labour and human trafficking in our business and in our supply chain. We expect the same commitment from everyone we work with.

Our business

We buy, refurbish and resell pre-owned office furniture and provide office installation, relocation, clearance and storage services through our sister company ARI Installations. Our supply chain is short and largely UK based: we source furniture directly from businesses that are relocating or closing offices, and we use UK-based logistics, cleaning and repair contractors.

Our policies

  • All staff are employed on written contracts, are paid at least the National Living Wage and are free to leave their employment.
  • We check that every worker has the right to work in the UK.
  • We only use reputable recruitment agencies and contractors and require them to confirm their compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
  • Staff are encouraged to raise concerns about any wrongdoing, including modern slavery, and can do so confidentially.

Due diligence

We assess the risk of modern slavery across our suppliers and contractors and focus our checks on higher-risk areas such as labour supply and cleaning. Where a supplier cannot demonstrate appropriate standards we will not work with them.

Training

Managers responsible for purchasing and recruitment receive guidance on the signs of modern slavery and how to report concerns.
